Although there are subtle differences between the
different rice species, in general rice straw makes one of the highest
quality boards of all agri-fibre waste. Again the quality is so high
that it is ideal for furniture manufacturing and for high quality
laminate flooring.
So high is the silica content of rice straw, that when converted into board the water and fire resistance qualities are far higher than that of a normal wood based panel.
Therefore making the boards ideal for many uses including construction,
based on low costs housing. |
